At the foot of a great ski-ing area, you can ski from your doorstep from both villages 1800 and 1500.

The Galibier-Thabor area, connected with Valloire, offers more than 160 km of varied runs. Sunny all day, the
resort caters to beginners, advanced, and young freestyle skiers.
Located in the heart of the Maurienne Valley and surrounded by legendary summits such as Mont Thabor,
Le Grand Galibier or La Meije, you will have a magnificent view while you enjoy the best quality snow and

The ski area Galibier-Thabor (160km of slopes)

...includes the resorts of Valloire and Valmeinier. It refers to two iconic peaks in the region rising to over 3000m:

160 km of slopes spread over 90 runs for all catégories
1430 to 2750 metres altitude
29 ski lifts of which 2 cable-lift, 17 chair lifts and 10 drag lifts
90 runs: 8 black, 33 red, 33 blue, 16 green
70% of the ski area is above 2000m
44500 skiers/hour
Optimal snow cover from december to april thanks to over 400 snow guns. Artificial snow covers runs of all categories
4 slalom courses and 3 international competition runs
Freestyle areas: 1 modular Snowpark , 1 Ski Cross and several Easyparks on the area, 1 speed-racing, night-time skiing
